Galen Cobb is vice president industry relations for Halliburton and is responsible for the company’s industry relations global activities. He has worked for Halliburton for over thirty-seven years serving in various executive management positions in operations, marketing, sales and business development.  From 1991 to 1994, he was Director CIS and China with oversight in establishing Halliburton’s presence and operations in these emerging markets.  Later he was named Director Executive Sales and Business Development with expanded responsibilities for the worldwide development and promotion of Halliburton’s services and products. In his current position, Mr. Cobb has broad responsibilities that include managing the company’s industry relations, energy trade policy issues, executive client relations, and trade organization oversight.

Cobb serves on numerous industry, trade association, and civic boards including: Greater Houston Partnership World Advisory Board, Houston World Affairs Council Board,  National Ocean Industries Association Board and Public Affairs Committee, Houston International Protocol Alliance Board, World Energy Cities Partnership Board, Houston Export Council Board,  Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association Board,  Offshore Energy Center Board,  Independent Petroleum Association of America Education Foundation and Region Board of Trustees, Offshore Technology Conference OTC Board,  Department of Commerce Energy Industry Segment Advisory Committee, OCS Policy Committee, National Association of Manufactures Public Affairs Committee, Academy of Petroleum Exploration& Production Technology Board, and Spindletop Charities Board of Trustees.

Other organizations which Cobb is actively involved include: Baker Energy Forum, International Association of Drilling Contractors, Association of Energy Service Companies, Texas Independent Producers Association, API, SPE, Texas Alliance Foundation for Energy Education, and is the World Petroleum Congress USA National Committee Chairman. 

Cobb serves on the Halliburton Foundation Education Advisory Board, HALPAC Executive Committee, and the Halliburton Supplier Diversity Executive Advisory Board.

Galen is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University, 1974.  He and Kathy have two sons Brad and Jeff.
