Chair of the UN Expert Group on Resource Classification and VP-Segment Reserves, BP

David MacDonald is the Vice President Segment Reserves for BP, where he is the principal individual responsible for the governance of the estimation, classification and reporting of reserves and resources for the Group. He has worked for BP for over 30 years in a variety of management roles in engineering and management across six continents.He is the current chair of the Bureau of the Expert Group on Resource Classification of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists’ Committee on Resource Evaluation and a past member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Oil and Gas Reserves Committee.
