Jim Lane is editor and publisher of Biofuels Digest, and is one of the world's most widely-read writers on energy and science, with a focus on the transformations in renewables, agriculture, nanotechnology, catalysis and synthetic biology.

He is the author of nine books; his tenth, Sugar Rush: Boom, Bust and Revival in the Bioeconomy is forthcoming in spring 2014. He has been a presenter and moderator at most major renewables events, and organizes the Advanced Biofuels Leadership Conference. He began his career at Harper's.
